Sewer Inspection and Leak Detection

To determine what’s restricting the normal flow of the sewer line, we conduct an inspection by sending a camera into the pipes. We use this as a means to diagnose the exact problem, determine the location and nature of the stoppage, and find a solution that will be both quick and cost-effective for each and every customer.

Traditional vs Trenchless

Depending on the intensity of the blockage and other factors, the means to repair the sewer line can be complicated and require intrusive digging. At Pipe Surgeons, we make it our goal to try and avoid this type of work, but if it is required to fix the line, we strive to work as quickly and inexpensively as possible. Fortunately, Pipe Surgeons also has trenchless options available for use, such as slip lining. Slip lining allows us to install a new sewer line inside of the existing one. This is done by installing a carrier pipe into a host pipe and grouting the annular space between the two pipes before sealing the ends. Techniques like this help keep the costs of sewer line repairs down, limiting the amount of excavation required to fix the pipe. At Pipe Surgeons, our sewer repair team is comprised of experienced professionals who share our goal of making our customers satisfied with our services. With our trenchless methods, we can avoid extensive digging and the mess caused by excavation in favor of high-quality solutions that can be implemented within a single day.

Sewer Lateral Line Repair

The sewer lateral line is the pipe that connects a building’s indoor plumbing system to the main sewer line. All of the building’s interior drain lines connect to the sewer lateral line and that traverses the property until it connects to the sewer main line; usually under the street. It is also possible that your sewer lateral connects to the main sewer line at the property line or sidewalk, but this is rare. Pipe Surgeons is well versed in all local codes and regulations and can help you determine exactly where your sewer lateral line connects to the sewer main and what, if any, repairs are your responsibility. In Florida, the property owner is responsible for all maintenance and repairs to the sewer lateral line on their property and it is imperative that the damaged line be repaired as soon as possible in order to avoid further damage to either the sewer lateral line itself or the local environment.

Sewer Main Line Repair

The sewer main line is the large, public sewer pipe that that collects waste water from private sewer laterals and is generally serviced and maintained by the city or county. While the sewer main line is larger and longer than a sewer lateral line, both lines serve basically the same purpose: to move waste water from its origination point. In the case of the sewer lateral line, that point is the building; in the case of the sewer main line, that point is where the lateral line joins the main line. Pipe Surgeons is able to service all types of sewer lines, including sewer main lines. As South Florida’s leading trenchless sewer repair specialist and with over 33 years of experience in all types of sewer line repair, Pipe Surgeons takes pride in assisting local municipalities with servicing, maintaining, and repairing sewer main lines.

Sewer Vent Stack Repair

Sewer vent stacks serve a vital purpose in every building’s overall sewer system. The sewer vent stacks exist to maintain neutral air pressure throughout the sewer system; allowing sewer gases (and unpleasant odors) to escape upwards via venting, which facilitates the movement of wastewater down through the sewer pipes via gravity. This process also allows fresh oxygen into the system, which aids in the natural breakdown of any waste that remains in the system. Because vent stacks are generally exposed to the elements at their conclusion point, it is fairly easy for them to become clogged, either by leaves, animals, or other materials that could find their way into the stack. Immediate removal of clogs is imperative to a properly functioning vent stack, but a properly serviced and maintained vent stack can help to prevent such clogs. Cracks, breaks, or other imperfections in the stack can easily trap foreign materials and cause the stack to fail, and a failing stack can quickly lead to major problems throughout the entire sewer system. Contracting a company with experience in both vent stack maintenance and sewer repair maintenance makes the most sense, and in South Florida, Pipe Surgeons is that company.

Roof Drain Repair

Roof drains are designed to carry water away from the roof in order to protect it from damage. While all roofs should have some type of roof drain installed, they are vitally important on roofs that are flat or have very little pitch (or incline). If water is allowed to pond on a roof, the damage can be disastrous. Not only can the sheer weight of the water cause a roof to fail, but the water itself can cause the roofing material to deteriorate over time, thereby making roof failure more likely the next time water accumulates on the roof. The size of your roof drain is also a very important factor in whether water will pond on your roof. If your drains are too small, water cannot be removed efficiently, inevitably causing damage. Any amount of water that remains on your roof for any amount of time is too much water for too long. Taking steps to ensure that your roof drains are in constant repair is a vital step in keeping your building well maintained.
