Sewer Pipe Lining

Corroded Cast Iron Sewer Pipe With Roots

Are your cast iron sewer pipes clogging due to root growth or missing pipe floors.  Are your cracked sewer pipes leaking into your high rise building walls or floors and causing foul odors? Pipe lining can solve these problems permanently!

Sewer Pipe Re-Lining Is A New Pipe Inside The Old Pipe

First the deteriorated sewer pipe is cleaned using various methods, ranging from high water pressure jetting to mechanical brushing (in the event that the pipes are to deteriorated and could flood the property when jetting). Then a sewer pipe inspection camera is used to measure the length of sewer pipe lining required. This length is used to cut a long fabric “sock” which is then wet thoroughly with a self-hardening epoxy resin (for larger diameter sewer pipes, heat may be used to harden the resin).

The sock is inserted into the pipe and inflated using air pressure to hold it against the pipe wall during the resin curing time (about 3 hours). After curing the “sock” has turned into a new physical pipe inside the old pipe!

How Strong Is Sewer Pipe Lining?

New Inner Pipe Reducing Diameter By Only 5%

The sewer pipe lining is anywhere from 3mm to 7.5mm thick and is designed to be used in load-bearing situations, like under roads or building footers. It is designed to be a stand-alone pipe in the event an entire section of the old pipe is missing. 7.5mm liner has a tensile strength of 3,500 psi.
